"A Police Officer's Daughter"

"I was emailed this poem and I thought I would share it with everyone. Even though he is not a part of my daughter's life I thought of my ex-husband while reading this poem. My prayers are with all the men and women who risk their lives everyday to protect us."

Being a police officers daughter,Isn't all it's cracked up to be,It often leaves me wondering,Will he come home to me?
As he puts on that uniform of blue,I smile and wonder why,He chooses a job so daring,And then, I realize,he has a job so hard to see,Within the normal human eye,
He risks his life every day,To protect both you and I.
He never asks for thanks,So I'm going to do it for him,Look around and see,He's got me to come home to.
Not just him, but all cops,Have families like you and me,And they need to come home,Alive and well so please,Next time you think a bad thought,About these officers in blue,Remember this little poem,And give them thanks that's well over-due.

Happy Anniversary, Mi Rey

This poem is for my husband, one year ago today we said "I DO", since then its only been happiness for us. Te Amo mucho, Mi Rey!

You'll never know
The joy I've found
My feet have not
Been on the ground
I'm on a cloud
You are the one
You're everything
My moon, my sun
And though it is
binding
I hope you never
Will forget
"I do"
Forever more

My Lil Girl's First Offical Day of Kindergarten!

Today, Sept. 11,2006 is the first offical day of kindergarten for my lil girl.

Remember all the Lost Souls of 9/11

September 11 was the day the world stood still. Today, I kissed my lil girl and saw her off to school and thank God. At the same time the first plane hit, I lit a candle for all the loved one that lost their lives. I have stood at Ground Zero and looked at the empty space and cried for all the loved ones that families lost. I stood there and cried my thanks to God for sparing the life of my brother. I was in a tunnel in the city of Boston, feeding my newborn daughter, when the radio station broadcasted that a plane hit the Twin Towers. My heart jumped to my throat for that was the same place my brother was to be working. I began to cry and to pray that I would not receive that call. My prayers were answered and I than began to pray for all the families that did receive the bad news. Our family is grateful for the life of my brother and we very proud that in such a difficult time he stood tall and worked along side all those men and women. In a world that has lost its mind, many lost their lives for a senseless act. Everyone that lost their lives was a mother, a sister, a daughter, a father, a brother, a son, and a grandparent. A LOVED ONE. This day will go down in history as one of the Blackest days in US history. My prayers and good wishes will always be with all the families that lost a loved one. Many God always Bless you and your families.
